Symphony in C to Close 2022-23 Virtuosi Series with Schubert

By Logan Martell

On March 26, 2023, Symphony in C will present the last two concerts of their 2022-23 Virtuosi Series at Haddonfield United Methodist Church.

The program will be comprised of Schubert’s “Der Hirt auf dem Felsen D. 965” as well as Schubert’s “Piano Quintet in A Major, D. 667 ‘The Trout.’” The artists for the evening are soprano Alexandra Nowakowski, clarinetist Bixby Kennedy, pianist Ryan Zhu, violinist Rannveig Sarc, violist Caeli Smith, cellist Daniel Hass, and bassist Maggie Cox.

The company will conclude its 2022-23 season in May with “Mendelssohn Italian Symphony,” led by Joseph Young at the Rutgers-Camden Center for the Arts. Founded in 1952 as The Haddonfield Symphony, Symphony in C seeks to provide the next generation of artists and composers with performance opportunities and community engagement. They are one of only three professional training orchestras which prepare artists on the cusp of world-class careers in the industry.
