The Princeton Festival has announced its online festival entitled “Virtually Yours.”

The showcase, which kicks off on June 1 and runs through June 28, will feature live and recorded performances of all kinds of music, as well as educational presentations, every single day during that timeframe.

“When the coronavirus threat forced cancellation of our regular season, we responded by creating ‘Virtually Yours’ as another way to bring the inspiration of the performing arts to our community,” said Richard Tang Yuk, Executive and Artistic Director, in a press release.

Opera lovers will get a chance to see Puccini’s “Madama Butterfly” on June 7, Mozart’s “Le Nozze di Figaro” on June 14, the 2019 production of John Adams’s “Nixon in China” on June 21, and Wagner’s “The Flying Dutchman (June 28).”

Additionally, there will be an opera workshop with Kyle Masson scheduled for June 9 as well as a lecture, “Why We Love Opera” by Professor Timothy Urban on June 4. Finally, a podcast series will cover such topics as “Women in Music” and “Costuming of Operas and Musicals;” the series will also feature soprano Sylvia McNair in an episode entitled “An International Career.”
