Sydney Opera House To Be Disinfected After Rita WIlson Performance

By Francisco Salazar

Following the news that Rita Wilson and Tom Hanks were tested positive for the coronavirus, the Sydney Opera House is set to be disinfected.

The company announced that the theater is undergoing disinfection while health officials are tracking down concert goers who attended a small Rita Wilson performance there last Saturday.

According to CNN a spokesperson for the opera house said the company is “in touch with NSW Health and Queensland Health and will be acting on their advice.”

The venue had already implemented several health and safety measures prior to the performance including on-site cleaning with hospital-grade disinfectant.

The Opera House is currently in the middle of a production of Bizet’s “Carmen” and plans to continue performances. “Carmen” currently stars Carmen Topciu, Yonghoon Lee, Simona Mihai, and Luke Gabbedy.
