The Santa Fe Opera has announced that Susan Graham will become an Honorary Board member of the Santa Fe Opera Board of Directors.

The company made the announcement via social media stating, “We are proud to announce the appointment of legendary mezzo-soprano and longtime friend of the Santa Fe Opera, Susan Graham, as an Honorary Board member of the Santa Fe Opera Board of Directors! In Susan’s own words, ‘not bad for a girl who was rejected as an apprentice here…twice!!'”

Graham has performed with the company over the years in productions of such operas as “Capriccio,” “Lucio Silla,” “La belle Hélène,” “Die Fledermaus,” and “Beatrice and Benedict.”

The mezzo recently joined the Santa Fe Opera for Santa Fe’s “An Evening of Stars: A Livestream Gala Event” and hosted the company’s “Songs from the Santa Fe Opera.”
