Suntory Hall to Host New Year’s Eve & New Years Concerts

Suntory Hall is set to present the Silvester Concert 2023 and the New Year Concert 2024 featuring the Symphonie-Orchester der Volksoper Wien.

The Silvester Concert will take place on Dec. 31 and the New Year Concert will take place on Jan. 1, 2024.

The Silvester Concert will include music from Johann Strauss Jr’s operetta “Die Fledermaus” and the Wiener Blut waltz. The concert will be led by conductor Guido Mancusi with soloists tenor Mehrzad Montazeri and Beate Ritter. They will be joined on the stage by the dancers of the Ballet Ensemble SOVOP. The concert will be hosted by broadcaster Keiko Yashio, former presenter of TV Tokyo.

Then on Jan. 1, 2024 the Volksoper Wien will perform with soprano Beate Ritter and tenor Mehrzad Montazeri. Guido Mancusi will lead the concert, featuring music by the Strauss family, Lehár, and Kálmán. They will be joined on the stage by the dancers of the Ballet Ensemble SOVOP Wien.
