Suntory Hall to Feature New Year’s Concert with Symphonie-Orchester der Volksoper Wien
By David SalazarSuntory Hall will present a New Year’s Concert featuring the Symphonie-Orchester der Volksoper Wien from Jan. 1 to 3, 2025.
The showcase will feature music from Operettas and Viennese Waltzes to celebrate the 200th anniversary of the birth of Johann Strauss Jr. Music by Franz Lehár and Johannes Holik also dominates the program.
Headlining the showcase are soprano Siphiwe McKenzi and tenor Szabolcs Brickner. Conductor Alexander Joel leads the performance.
There will also be a pre-concert performance featuring members of the orchestra in the Blue Rose (Small Hall).
There will also be performances of the program in Osaka on Jan. 5, the Fuji City Music Hall on Jan. 7, Aichi Arts Center on Jan. 9, and Takasaki City Theatre on Jan. 10, 2025.
