Sumi Jo International Competition Announces Semi-Finalists for 2024 Edition

The competition, set to take place at the Chateau de la Ferte-Imbault in the Loire Valley between July 7 – 13, 2024, showcases the talents of 24 semi-finalists.

- Elisabeth Eunsoo Lee (South Korea)
- Alexandre Baldo (France)
- Igor Mostovoi (Ukraine)
- Katleho Mokhoabane (South Africa)
- Juliette Tacchino (France)
- Kiup Lee (South Korea)
- Daria Lupu (Romania)
- Jungrae Noah Kim (South Korea)

The first place winner walks away with a 50,000 euro prize with second place getting 20,000 euros and third receiving 10,000 euros. The jury for the competition includes soprano Sumi Jo; Olivier Ojzerowicz-Medinger, the proprietor of the Chateau; the Met Opera and Irish National Opera’s Artistic Advisor Jonathan Friend; the Teatro alla Scala’s Casting Manager Alessandro Galoppini; Alain Lanceron, President of Warner Classics and Erato; Conductor Jérémie Rhorer; and tenor Ramón Vargas.
