
Stonewall National Museum, Archives, & Library Hosts Book Reading With Ricky Ian Gordon
By Afton MarkayThe Stonewall National Museum, Archives, and Library is set to host “An Evening with Ricky Ian Gordon.”
At the event Gordon will read from his memoir, “Seeing Through: a Chronicle of Sex, Drugs, and Opera.” In his book, Gordon shares his journeys through youth, addictions, abuse, and the devastation of the HIV/AIDS epidemic. He also recounts his artistic collaborations including the creation of “The Grapes of Wrath,” “27,” “Orpheus and Euridice,” “Intimate Apparel,” and “Ellen West.”
“Seeing Through” was originally published on July 23, 2024, and then released in paperback earlier this year.
The talk and reception will be held on Dec. 18 at Stonewall in Fort Lauderdale, FL. The event is scheduled for 6 pm.
