Stockholm University of Arts to Showcase Baroque Concert at Thilska Galleriet
By David SalazarThe Stockholm University of the Arts is set to showcase a special spring performance at the Thielska Galleriet on May 24, 2023.
The showcase will feature three opera soloists, all part of the master’s program in opera singing. The soloists include mezzo-soprano Milanka Noveska, soprano Alexandra Linde, and soprano Lina Carlsson, Jaroslaw. They will be joined by cellist Johannes Rydén and cymbalist Jaroslaw Kaliski, who is also a lecturer in musical design.
The performance, which will spotlight baroque music, will feature passages from Rameau’s “L’Indes galantes,” Händel’s “Alcina,” “Giulio Cesare,” “Samson e Delila,” and “Rodelinda,” Vivaldi’s “Juditha Triumphans,” Gluck’s “Orfeo ed Euridice,” and Pergolesi’s “Stabat Mater.”
