Stephanie Lamprea is set to present “Quaking Aspen” at Roulette in Brooklyn on Sept. 6, 2022.

The showcase features “ wordless avant-garde soundscapes to spurts of operatic flourishes and electronic poetic loops.” She will be accompanied by Alex Van Gils on electronics.

Lamprea is a Colombian-American soprano based in New York and Glasgow. In addition to previous appearances with Roulette, Lamprea has also appeared with Constellation Chicago, Sound Scotland’s 2021 soundfestival, National Sawdust (NYC), Shapeshifter Lab, Miller Theater at Columbia University, the Slipper Room, Park Avenue Armory, Museum of Fine Arts (Boston), the Re:Sound Festival in Cleveland, Ohio, and Casa da Música (Porto).

Following this performance, the specialist in Avant-Garde music will perform in “Sound Scotland” in late October. She will then appear at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland to present “Recitations in Motion.”
