By Francisco Salazar

Stéphane Degout’s Wigmore Hall Recital has been canceled.

The hall, in London, announced the news via social media stating, “Owing to a heavy cold, Stéphane Degout is unable to perform tomorrow night. We wish him well. There will be no replacement concert.”

Degout was set to perform alongside pianist Simon Lepper in a program of music by Fauré, Tchaikovsky, and Schumann.

The French baritone returns to the stage for a new production of Tchaikovsky’s “The Queen of Spades” at La Monnaie in Belgium. Degout will also give a recital at La Monnaie with Lepper. Degout is also set to perform Rameau’s “Hippolyte et Aricie” at the Opera Comique in Paris and “Lessons of Love and Violence” at the Lyric Opera of Chicago.
