Stefano Secco, Lea Desandre, Stéphanie d’Oustrac & Patricia Petibon Lead Opéra de Dijon’s 2022-23 Season

Opera
The season opens with Mahler’s “Das Lied von der Erde” with Ensemble Klangforum Wien and soloists Christina Daletska and Maximilian Schmitt.
Performance Date: Oct. 20, 2022
Verdi’s “Stiffelio” will star Stefano Secco, Erika Beretti, Dario Solari, Raffaele Abete, and Önay Köse. Debora Waldman conducts the production by Bruno Ravella.
Performance Dates: Nov. 20-24 2022
Laurent Pelly will direct Offenbach’s “La Périchole”with Antoinette Dennefeld, Philippe Talbot, Rodolphe Briand, and Lionel Lhote. Laurent Campellone conducts.
Performance Dates: Jan. 15-21, 2023
Wolfgang Mitterer’s “Dafne” will star Adèle Carlier, Anne-Emmanuelle Davy, Michiko Takahashi, Amandine Trenc, Jeanne Dumat, Floriane Hasler, Clotilde Cantau, Safir Behloul, Constantin Goubet, Mathieu Dubroca, Virgile Ancely, and Renaud Brès. Geoffroy Jourdain conducts a production by Aurélien Bory.
Performance Date: Feb. 1, 2023
Britten’s “The Turn of the Screw” will star Jonathan Boyd, Marianne Croux, Heather Shipp, and Cécile Perrin. Elizabeth Askren conducts the production by Dominique Pitoiset.

“The Diary of One Who Disappeared” by Janáček will be directed by Ivo Van Hove and will feature Lada Valešová, Ed Lyon, Marie Hamard, and Hugo Koolschijn.

Stéphanie d’Oustrac, Cyril Auvity, Tomislav Lavoie, Marie Perbost, Eva Zaïcik, Timothée Varon, and David Tricou star in Lully’s “Armide.” Vincent Dumestre conducts the production by Dominique Pitoiset.
Performance Dates: April 25-29, 2023
Diana Soh’s “Zylan ne chantera plus” will star Benoît Rameau in a production by Richard Brunel.

Concert
Vincent Dumestre and Stéphanie d’Oustrac will perform a program of music by Monteverdi, Marais, Cavalli, and Vierdank with the Le Poème Harmonique.

“Les Traversées Baroques” will feature the music of Étienne Meyer.
Performance Date: Nov. 9, 2022
Thomas Dunford and Lea Desandre will perform a concert of music by Cavalli, Viviani, Marais, Vivaldi, and De Bottis.

The Chœur de l’Opéra de Dijon will perform “Mouachah, Chansons de l’Andalousie au Liban.”

La Capella Reial de Catalunya & Le Concert des Nations will be conducted by Jordi Savall in a program of Marc-Antoine Charpentier.

The Orchestre National de France will be led Enrique Mazzola in a program of music by Offenbach. Patricia Petibon and Cyrille Dubois are the soloists.

The Choeur de l’Opéra de Dijon will be joined by two soloists for the Bruissement choral.

Leonardo García Alarcón conducts soloists Mariana Flores and Julie Roset in a program entitled Lamenti e Sospiri.

Étienne Meyer conducts a program entitled Les Traversées Baroques with soloists Dagmar Saskova, Capucine Keller, Maximiliano Baños, Marnix de Cat, François-Nicolas Geslot, Vincent Bouchot, Alejandro Meerapfel, and Renaud Delaigue.

Ottavio Dantone and Delphine Galou team up for a program of Vivaldi, Porpora, and Jommelli. They are joined by Accademia Bizantina.
Performance Date: May 10, 2023
The Cappella Mediterranea will be joined by Leonardo García Alarcón for “Il dono della vita eterna.”
