Stefan Vinke Headlines Opera Australia’s 2020 Ring Cycle

Opera Australia has announced the cast to its upcoming Ring Cycle.

The company announced that Stefan Vinke will headline an exceptional collection of singers, actors, dancers, and musicians when they take to the Lyric Theatre Stage at Queensland Performing Arts Centre in November 2020 for the Ring Cycle Brisbane.

Vinke, who OperaWire hailed as the most heroic debut of the Metropolitan Opera during the 2018-19 season will be joined by Ukrainian bass Vitalij Kowaljow in the role of Wotan, English soprano Allison Oakes as Brünnhilde, German tenor Andreas Conrad as Mime, and Latvian soprano Maija Kovalevska in the role of Gutrune.

The Ring Cycle, which was announced last month will be performed in three separate cycles and will be performed starting November 2020 through December.
