Staatstheater Wiesnbaden Announces Reopening Program Starring René Pape, Günther Groissböck, Annalisa Stroppa

The Staatstheater Wiesbaden has announced the reopening of the theater on May 18, 2020.

The German theater revealed that following the regulations of the government, the company has put together a new program.

The new program will open on My 18 and run through June 6, 2020 and will include excerpts from the originally planned International May Festival 2020.

Among the soloists who will grace the stage throughout the month are Günther Groissböck, Michael Volle, Gabriela Scherer, Andreas Schager, Klaus Florian Vogt, René Pape, Annalisa Stroppa, Daniela Fally, Catherine Foster, Andreas Schager, and many others.

The programs will include recitals, and excerpts from such operas as “Tristan und Isolde,” “Carmen,” and “Der Rosenkavalier” with piano. There will also be a reading by Jens Harzer.

The concerts will only sell 189 seats and will be performed at the Grosses Haus and Klienes Haus.
