Five more performances are to follow on Feb. 27, March 2, April 23, April 26, and May 14.

Antje Schupp’s new production commissioned by the Staatstheater Augsburg featured a revised orchestration that leans towards a more traditional sound. The original score by Yun includes musical theatre, cabaret, punk rock, and electronica aspects.

The cast stars Luise von Garnier, Wiard Witholt, Claudio Zazzaro, Alma Naidu, Oliver Scherer, Jutta Lehner, Lazlo Papp, Susanne Simenec, Constantine Zimmerman, and Roman Poboinyi. Ivan Demidov conducts.

“Angel’s Bone” explores modern-day slavery and human trafficking. The story follows two fallen angels who are nursed back to health by a husband and wife who imprisons and exploits them in order to gain wealth and fame.
