By Francisco Salazar

The Staatsoper Hamburg has announced cast changes for several productions.

The company said that for its production of Mozart’s “Die Entführung aus dem Serail,” Oleksiy Palchikov will sing the role of Belmonte replacing Dovlet Nurgeldiyev.

Meanwhile, the role of Publio in Mozart’s “La Clemenza di Tito” will be performed by Han Kim instead of David Minseok Kang.

Finally, during the Italian Festival, Marcelo Puente will sing the role of Turiddu in “Cavalleria Rusticana” instead of Vittorio Grigolo. Grigolo however will still sing the role of Canio in “I Pagliacci.”

The Staatsoper Hamburg is set to open its season in early September.
