Staatsoper Berlin Announces Soprano For Afternoon Performance of ‘Die Zauberflöte’

The Staatsoper Unter den Linden has announced that soprano Narine Yeghiyan will perform the role of Pamina in Mozart’s singspiel “Die Zauberflöte” on Dec. 25, 2021 at 3 p. m. CET.

Yeghiyan joins a cast that includes Peter Sonn as Tamino, Hila Fahima as Die Königin der Nacht, Gyula Orendt as Papageno, and Grigory Shkarupa as Sarastro. The cast also includes Liubov Medvedeva, Florian Hoffmann, David Oštrek, Magnus Dietrich, Anna Samuil, Ema Nikolovska, Marina Prudenskaya, Andrés Moreno García, and Žilvinas Miškinis. Anna Milukova conducts a production by August Everding.

Yeghiyan’s repertoire includes such roles as Pamina in Mozart’s “Die Zauberflöte,” Zerlina in “Don Giovanni,” Giannetta in Donizetti’s “L’elisir d’amore,” Najade in Richard Strauss’ “Ariadne auf Naxos,” Tebaldo in Verdi’s “Don Carlo,” and Musetta in Puccini’s “La bohème,” among others.

The evening performance of the opera on Dec. 25 at 7 p. m. CET will feature soprano Evelin Novak in the role of Pamina.
