Staatheater Wiesbaden Announces Cast Change for ‘Rigoletto’

The Staatheater Wiesbaden has announced a cast change for its production of Verdi’s “Rigoletto.

The theater announced that on May 9 the role of Gilda will be sung by  Anastasiya Taratorkina who replaces the originally scheduled Cristina Pasaroiu.

Taratorkina is an ensemble member of the Hessisches Staatstheater Wiesbaden and has performed such roles with the company as  Sophie (“Der Rosenkavalier”), Marzelline (“Fidelio”) and Gretel (“Hänsel und Gretel”), among others.

She is set to join a cast that includes Piero Pretti as the Duke, Zeljko Lucic as Rigoletto, Young Doo Park as Sparafucile, and Silvia Hauer as
Maddalena. Will Humburg conducts the production by Uwe Eric Laufenberg.
