Pittsburgh Opera has announced that the organization has appointed Sri Palanisamy to its board of directors.
Currently, the Vice President of Enterprise Strategy at Highmark Health, Palanisamy brings with him over 20 years in the healthcare field, where he lowered costs and improved overall consumer experience. Prior to his work with Highmark Health, Palanisamy worked with Blue Cross Blue Shield.
He also worked in career management consulting for such firms as Oliver Wyman.
In 2001, he co-founded Rasa Theater with Artistic Director Manu Narayan, which produced works by and for members of the South Asian diaspora.
“We couldn’t be happier to have Sri join our Board. We are thrilled he has returned to Pittsburgh. Pittsburgh Opera is fortunate to have his strategic business experience and passion for the performing arts,” Pittsburgh Opera Board Chair Michele Fabrizi said about the appointment in a press release.
