Spotlight Artists Management Streams Christmas Concert 2020

By David Salazar

Spotlight Artists Management has released its Christmas Concert 2020 for online viewing via the company’s official YouTube channel.

The performance which took place on Dec. 12, featured performances by soprano Zoya Gramagin, soprano Dilara Unsal, soprano Nozomi Yoshuda, mezzo-soprano Eugenia Forteza, baritone Billy Huyler, and pianist Alexander Chaplinsky. The showcase included music by Puccini, Rachmaninoff, Ravel, Tchaikovsky, and a number of hit tunes in different languages including a version of “Jingle Bells” sung in Japanese.

“It was a big challenge to make a live concert due to the pandemic restrictions and our own safety concerns. The artists who quarantined and tested negative for covid could take part in the event. The venue had to be very trustworthy in terms of complying with a covid safety protocol. We could not have a big audience at our recording event – only the loved ones who are in the same bubble with us and who are proved healthy,” said Natalie Burlutskaya, Manager and Co-Producer at Spotlight Artists Management and Productions, in a press release. “However, with no public the artists’ spirit has not weakened – we all want to overcome this turbulent year with dignity and grace and be able to return to performing live on stage.”

“Sound engineering and video editing is what we all have to learn now as our second occupation,” added Gramagin, who is also Artistic Director for the organization. “As the music world temporarily moved fully online, we are all event producers now and learning post-production!”
