Spooky Goose Opera to Present ‘The Magic Flute’ via Zoom

Spooky Goose Opera is set to present a Zoom performance of “The Magic Flute.”

The opera production will star tenor Michael Celentano as Tamino with Alex Adams-Leytes as Papageno. Ariel Andrew and Ryan Colbert will rotate the role of Pamina with Angela Scorese and Katie Beckvold alternating as the Queen of the Night.

Shelley Bruton, Bridget Ann Johnston, and Alessandra Gluf will both take on Papagena with Ramon Gabriel S. Tenefrancia appearing as Monostatos during every performance. Paul Green-Dennis and Henry Hammond will interpret the role of Sarastro with Powell Brumm as the speaker, Rebecca Benitez and Ariel Andrew as the First Lady, Julie as the Second Lady, and Kirstin Roble as the Third Lady.

The Armored Man will be pre-recorded by Steven Murray while the second spirit will be pre-recorded by Tricia Kopko.

The showcase is set to go live on August 28, 29, Sept. 4, 5, 11, and 12 at 7:30 p.m. Watch it here.
