The Australia Brandenburg Orchestra will feature soprano Yukie Sato in its “Handel’s House” concert series.

The program for the series will feature arias by Händel from “Partenope” and “Alcina” as well as Pisendel’s Violin Concerto in D major, JunP 1.7.

“I’m excited to collaborate with the Australian Brandenburg Orchestra on such a great program of arias, especially those of Händel,” Sato said in an official press release issued by the company. “Perfectly suited to both the lightness and agility of my voice, I also love Händel’s arias for their theatricality and ability to entertain and excite. I can’t wait to connect with Australian audiences and take them on a journey through a full spectrum of human emotions.”

The series will feature a total of nine concerts. The first five, starting on August 30, 2024 and running through Sept. 7, 2024, will take place at the City Recital Hall in Sydney. Then the concert series heads to Brisbane for a performance at the Queensland Performing Arts Center on Sept. 10. The final stop is the Melbourne Recital Centre, which will feature three presentations on Sept. 12-15.

Sato has performed with such organizations as Ensemble Gilles Binchois and Mala Punica. She has also received the first prize in the International Early Music Vocal Competition Canticum Gaudium in Poland.
