On February 7, 2020, Harvard Wealth Strategy & Management LLC and Premier Event Management Inc. will present the Sixth Annual Chinese New Year Spectacular at Carnegie Hall.

Ringing in the Year of the Rat will be a diverse roster of distinguished artists such as pianist Cong Bi, soprano Quan Chen, and American violinist Deni Bonet. The event will also include Jiehua Shi, Min Cheng, and Qinglin Cai, performers of Kunqu, described as one of the oldest forms of Chinese opera.

The goal of the presenting companies is to bridge the cultural gap between Chinese and American peoples.

“This year’s Spectacular VI is a diverse blend of cultures and musical sounds. We’re thrilled to have such a strong and energetic group of new and returning talent,” stated Charles W. Sullivan, president of Premier Event Management, in a press release.

Chen, originally from Shanghai, has performed with such companies as The Shanghai Philharmonic Orchestra and the Shanghai Spring International Music Festival , Lincoln Center and Carnegie Hall, etc. A graduate of both the Shanghai Conservatory and Manhattan School of Music, she was recently the winner of the 2019 Puccini Ambassador Medal in the Premiere Opera International Vocal Competition.
