Soprano Julie Fuchs has just canceled to performances at the Opéra du Rhin, Strasbourg and at the Opéra national de Bordeaux.
The soprano made the announcement via social media noting that she received advice from doctors that it might be necessary to give herself a break after recently giving birth to her first child.
“As a new and first time mother, I have recently received advice from several doctors. I reluctantly have chosen to take that advice, and I’m very sad to say did I must cancel two special engagements this month: Firstly my recital at Opéra du Rhin, Strasbourg with Alphonse Cemin, and secondly Carmina Burana at the Opéra national de Bordeaux with L’Orchester National Bordeaux Aquitaine,” she published on her Instagram account. “I always love performing in Bordeaux and Strasbourg, and I look forward to singing in these beautiful cities at a future date. Thank you for your support and understanding. Love, Julie”
Per her official website, the soprano is still expected to perform a recital in Tivoli with the Orchestra National d’Ile-de-France with Enrique Mazzola on June 29, 2019. She will follow that with a simiar recital in Versailles on July 3 and another in Aix-en-Provence on July 16.
