Soprano Alexandria Crichlow to Present ‘Evolution’

Soprano Alexandria Crichlow is set to present “Evolution” on Nov. 20, 2021 at New Mount Zion Baptist Church in New York City.

The showcase will feature Joaquin Turina’s “Homenaje a Lope de Vega,” Margaret Bonds’ “Three Dream Portraits,” H. Leslie Adams’ “Nightsongs,” and several songs by Hall Johnson, Jasmine Barnes, Damon Dandridge, Jasmine Barnes, David Neff, and Alma Androzzo.  The program will also feature the premieres of Felix Jarrar and Bea Goodwin’s “Painted Lady” as well as H.L. Smith’s “Balm in Gilead.”

Crichlow will perform alongside Jarrar, violinist Adam Von Housen, and cellist Tamar Sagiv.

Crichlow has performed with such organizations as the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra, the Philadelphia Orchestra and is set to appear with OpernFest Prague. She recently made her Switzerland debut as part of Berlin Opera Academy’s OpernFest.

The recital will be presented by the B&B Arts Foundation.
