Soprano Alexandra Nowakowski to Perform As Part of Embassy Series

Soprano Alexandra Nowakowski will appear in concert as part of the Embassy Series in Washington D.C.

The concert, which is set for April 7, 2020, will take place at the Residence of the Polish Ambassador. Nowakowski will perform alongside pianist William Woodard. The duo will present arias from such composers as Donizetti, Viardot, Delibes, and Mozart, among others.

“I hope to share my love of Polish culture and language with the audiences of DC through this recital with the Embassy Series. As a daughter of immigrants from Poland, I am deeply honored to sing at the Residence of the Polish Ambassador,” she stated in a press release.

Nowakowski is a member of the Cafritz Young Artist Program at the Washington National Opera. She has appeared in such operas as “The Magic Flute” at Washington National Opera, “Ariadne auf Naxos” at Wolftrap Opera, and “Falstaff” with the WNO Orchestra. She is also set to debut with the National Symphony under Gianandrea Noseda and will take on “Elegy for Young Lovers” with Wolftrap Opera.
