Sophie Bevan has canceled her Wigmore Hall Recital.

The Wigmore Hall announced via social media that due “to unforeseen circumstances, Sophie Bevan is no longer able to take part in the Feb. 4, 2019 concert. There will be no replacement and the concert has therefore been canceled.”

Bevan was scheduled to perform alongside pianist Malcolm Martineau.

The soprano next performs at the Teatro Real in Wagner’s “Das Rheingold” and will sing in “Vespers” and “The Turn of the Screw” in Wormsley.

Bevan is a recipient of the 2010 Critics’ Circle Award for Exceptional Young Talent, The Times Breakthrough Award at the 2012 South Bank Sky Arts Awards, and the Young Singer of the Year Award at the 2013 International Opera Awards.

She has performed at the English National, Metropolitan Opera, Glyndebourne Festival, Royal Opera House, and Salzburg Festival.
