Sonya Yoncheva will perform on the Christmas Concert “Weihnachten mit dem Bundespräsidenten.”

The concert will be broadcast on ZDF on Christmas Eve at 6 p.m.  CET and will be recorded from the St. Marien Church in Bernau. The President of Germany Bundespräsident Frank-Walter Steinmeier will host the evening, which will include German pop singer Sasha and actress Iris Berben, Lucas & Arthur Jussen, the Ensemble Amarcord as well as the Kammerakademie Potsdam led by Václav Luks.

Yoncheva recently appeared at the Teatro alla Scala’s opening night concert and is set to appear in the title role of “Tosca” at the Wiener Staatsoper this January.

She is also set to take part in the Metropolitan Opera Live Concert series this February followed by recitals in Spain.
