Sonya Yoncheva, Charles Castronovo & Lisette Oropesa Highlight Royal Opera House Live Concert

The Royal Opera House Covent Garden has announced that it will reopen its doors for the first time Since March 16, 2020.

The Royal Opera House will present the Live in Concert event on September 4 at 7:30 PM BST.

The concert will star Sonya Yoncheva, Charles Castronovo, Lisette Oropesa, Gerald Finley, Aigul Akhmetshina and Vito Priante. The six singers will be joined onstage by bass Jeremy White, tenor Filipe Manu, and The Royal Opera Chorus.

Royal Opera House’s General Music Director Sir Antonio Pappano will conduct the Orchestra of the Royal Opera House.

The evening will start with the Overture from Mozart’s “Le nozze di Figaro.” The rest of the program includes “Largo al factotum” from Rossini’s “Il Barbiere di Siviglia,” “Caro elisir!” from Donizetti’s “L’elisir d’amore,” “Non più mesta” from Rossini’s “La Cenerentola,” the final scene from Bellini’s “La Sonnambula,” “Forse la soglia attinse” from Verdi’s “Un Ballo in Maschera,” “Credo in un Dio crudel” from Verdi’s “Otello,” Rusalka’s “Song to the Moon,” “Scintille, diamant” from Offenbach’s “Les Contes d’Hoffmann,” the Recitative and Gavotte from Massenet’s “Manon,” the Final Act of Bizet’s opera “Carmen,” and the Act one duet and “Te Deum” from Puccini’s “Tosca.”

The concert will be broadcast live. Tickets cost 16 pound sterling, and can be purchased on the Royal Opera House website.
