Sonya Yoncheva, Carolyn Sampson, Sophie Bevan, Reginald Mobley & Nicky Spence Lead Royal Liverpool Philharmonic 2025-26 Season

The Royal Liverpool Philharmonic has announced its 2025-26 season. Here is a look at the vocal performances.

Kelsey Thomas and Edward Lloyd perform a lunchtime recital.

Performance Date: Sept. 22, 2025


Geoffrey Paterson conducts Julian Bliss and Agustin Pennino in Boccherini, Bernstein, Copland, Einojuhani Rautavaara, and Sibelius.

Performance Date: Oct. 11, 2025


Domingo Hindoyan conducts Brahms’ Requiem with Sophie Bevan and Samuel Hasselhorn. The concert also includes music by Arvo Pärt.

Performance Date: Nov. 22, 2025


Matthew Hamilton conducts Spirit of Christmas with Benjamin Appl.

Performance Dates: Dec. 19-23, 2025


Handel’s Messiah will feature Fflur Wyn, Reginald Mobley, Nick Pritchard, and George Humphreys. Laurence Cummingsconducts. 

Performance Date: Jan. 10, 2026


Domingo Hindoyan conducts Carolyn Sampson in a program of music by Ravel, Dukas, and Joseph Canteloube.

Performance Date: Feb. 19, 2026


Daniela Candillari conducts Elgar, Mark Simpson, and Sibelius. Mark Stone and EXAUDI are the soloists.

Performance Date: March 26, 2026


The Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Choir under Matthew Hamilton and the Liverpool Philharmonic Youth Choir under Simon Emery will perform Andrew Barney’s New Work and Rossini’s Petite messe solennelle. 

Performance Date: April 23, 2026


Sonya Yoncheva stars in Dvořák’s “Rusalka” with Adam Smith, Jongmin Park, and Jennifer Johnston. Domingo Hindoyan conducts.

Performance Dates: June 19 & 21, 2026


Elgar’s “The Dream of Gerontius” will be conducted by Andrew Manze and star Jess Dandy, Nicky Spence, and James Platt.

Performance Dates: July 4, 2026
