Sonya Yoncheva has announced a gala concert at the Roman Theater in Plovdiv, Bulgaria.

The soprano revealed the event on social media stating “I am very happy to come back to Plovdiv, my home town, and sing for my audience and friends after more than 7 years. I will be presenting an Opera Gala in the majestic Roman Theater built in the second century BC. It’s a mystic place, home of Arts for generations and a dear place from my childhood. The concert is on August 25th at 21h30 and it’s a production of my newborn company SY11.”

The soprano will perform alongside her brother tenor Marin Yonchev and conductor Nayden Todorov.

Yoncheva recently reopened Victoria Hall in Switzerland and is set to return to the stage with performances at the Salzburg Festival and Arena di Verona. She is also scheduled for concerts in Germany and Belgium in the summer.
