Sony Releases First Single To Sonya Yoncheva’s Verdi Album

Sony Classical has released the first single to Sonya Yoncheva’s new album “The Verdi Album.”

The new single “Tacea la notte placida” from “Il Trovatore” is available on ITunes, Google Play, Spotify, Apple Music and Amazon Music.

The album is set to feature Yoncheva in a variety of Verdi repertoire including arias from “Luisa Miller,” “La Forza del Destino,” “Don Carlo,” “Attila,” “Simon Boccanegra” and “Nabucco.” Massimo Zanetti conducts the Munich Rundfunkorchester.

The new album is now available for pre-order and is set for release on Feb. 2, 2018.

“The Verdi Album” marks the third solo CD for Yoncheva who previously released “Paris, Mon Amour” and “Handel.” Sony Classical has also released two DVDs for the soprano including “Les Contes d’Hoffmann” and “Otello.”

Yoncheva next performs a new production of “La Boheme” at the Opera de Paris and then rings in the New Year with “Tosca” at the Metropolitan Opera.
