The creation of the Christmas Night Opera Gala reflects a deeply personal chapter in the life of its producer, Eugene Wintour-Irverstag. In a statement he said, “Opera has the extraordinary ability to hold the fullness of the human experience—love and longing, joy and hope—in a single breath. To bring these artists together for the first time in America, and to do so at Christmas, is a reminder that music connects us far beyond circumstance. It is a shared language of feeling, and a celebration of what we can create together.”
