Sondra Radvanovsky Replaces Anja Harteros In Paris

Anja Harteros has canceled her participation in Opera de Paris’ revival of “Un Ballo in Maschera.”

The company announced via twitter that Sondra Radvanovsky would replace the Harteros as Amelia on Feb. 3, 6 and 10, 2018.

Radvanovsky had already performed the opening of the run and is next scheduled to sing at the Gran Teatro del Liceu in the role of Maddalena in “Andrea Chenier” and  returns to Paris for a revival of “Il Trovatore.” She will also take on the title role of “Anna Bolena” and Elisabetta in “Roberto Devereux.”

Anja Harteros returns to the stage at the end of the month in “Un Ballo in Maschera” in Munich.

Piero Pretti, Simone Piazzola, and Varduhi Abrahamyan also star in the production which Bertrand de Billy is currently conducting.
