Sondra Radvanovsky & Joseph Calleja Headline Teatro Real’s ‘Tosca’ Broadcast

On July 10, the Teatro Real de Madrid will broadcast a new production of Puccini’s “Tosca.”

The production by Paco Azorín will stream at 7 p.m. Madrid time on MyOperaPlayer, the Teatro Real’s YouTube channel and RTVE, who is co-producing the transmission. The evening will also be shown on outdoor screens and audiences can also watch the production on TVE on July 11 at 11:00 p.m. Spanish time.

The cast will include Sondra Radvanovsky, Joseph Calleja, and Carlos Álvarez. Nicola Luisotti conducts the orchestra and chorus.

The Teatro Real will also stream Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony on July 10 with Susanne Elmark, Aigul Akhmetshina, Leonardo Capalbo, and José Antonio López.

With the broadcast, the Teatro Real continues its summer broadcasts which have included “I Puritani,” “Il trovatore,” and “Lucia di Lammermoor.”
