On May 1 the Bilbao Opera in Spain will present Sondra Radvanovsky at the Euskalduna Bilbao.

The soprano will perform a recital of scenes from Gluck’s “Paride ed Elena,” Bellini’s “Il pirata,” Verdi’s “Il trovatore” and “I vespri siciliani,” Puccini’s “Manon Lescaut,” and Giordano’s “Andrea Chénier” alongside pianist Vincenzo Scalera.

The soprano will also perform works by Caccini and songs by Bellini.

Radvanovsky has performed at the Bilbao Opera over the years as Leonora in “Il Trovatore,” “Rusalka,” and “Maria Stuarda.” She is also well known for performing at the Metropolitan Opera, Canadian Opera Company, and Lyric Opera of Chicago, among many others.

This summer she returns to the Gran Teatre del Liceu to perform the Tudor Trilogy and is set to perform “Tosca” at the Teatro Real.
