Fall Festival
John Neumeier directs Gluck’s “Orfeo et Eurydice” with Alessandro de Marchi conducting.
Performance Dates: Sept. 27-19, 2019
Dorothee Mields sings a program centered on Der Orpheus-Mythos with Andrea Marcon conducting the Venice Baroque Orchestra.
Performance Date: Oct. 5, 2019
The Perm Opera presents a concert entitled “The Sound of Light” with music by Rameau. Teodor Currentzis conducts.

Teodor Currentzis conducts the Perm Opera in Hersant’s” Tristia” with Musicaeterna.
Performance Date: Nov. 2, 2019
Teodor Currentzis conducts Mozart’s Requiem d-Mol with Sandrine Piau, Paula Murrihy, Sebastian Kohlhepp, and Evgeny Stavinsky.

Thomas Quasthoff sings an evening of Jazz music in an exclusive 60-minute concert.

Joseph Calleja and Sondra Radvanivsky sing an evening of Verdi and Verismo with Giampaolo Bisanti conducting the Basel Symphony Orchestra.

William Christie conducts Les Arts Florissants in a program that includes music by Händel, Purcell, Charpentier, Lully und Rameau.
Sandrine Piau, Lea Desandre, Christophe Dumaux, Marcel Beekman, Marc Mauillon, and Lisandro Abadie star in the concert.

Ana María Martinez and Joel Prieto headline the New Year’s Eve Silver Konzert with a program containing excerpts from “Carmen” and Zarzuela. Karel Marek Chichon conducts the Orquesta Filharmonica de Gran Canarias.

Valery Gergiev conducts the second Act of Wagner’s “Tristan und Isolde” with Martina Serafin and Andreas Schager in the lead roles. Mikhail Petrenko, Yulia Matochkina, and Miljenko Turk round out the cast with the Munich Philharmonic accompanying.

Jonas Kaufmann performs a concert with Jochen Rieder conducting the Prague Philharmonia.
Performance Date: Feb. 1, 2020
Philippe Jaroussky and Jerome Ducros join forces for an evening of Schubert Lieder.
Performance Date: Feb. 7, 2020
Diana Damrau sings the Four Last Songs by Strauss with Valery Gergiev conducting the Munich Philharmonic. The program includes the Bruckner Symphony No. 7.
Performance Date: Feb. 9, 2020
Beethoven’s Christus am Ölberge – Oratorium will get a performance with Pavol Breslik and Elsa Dreisig. Sir. Simon Rattle conducts the performance with Lisa Batiashvili playing the Berg Violin Concerto. The London Symphony Orchestra joins the concert.

Iwona Sobotka, Anna Stephany, Robert Murray, and Florian Boesch perform Beethoven’s Symphony No. 9 with Sir. Simon Rattle conducting. The program also includes the Lulu Suite by Berg.

Easter Festival
Matthew Polezani and Marlis Petersen star in Beethoven’s “Fidelio” with Kirill Petrenko conducting. The new production is directed by Mateja Koleznik.

Hartmann’s “Simplicius Simplicissimus” appears with the Berlin Philharmonic.

Kirill Petrenko conducts Beethoven’s Missa Solemnis with Hanna-Elisabeth Müller, Okka von der Damerau, Matthew Polenzani, and Tareq Nazmi

Yannick Nézet-Séguin conducts Mahler’s Third Symphony with Elina Garanca.
Performance Date: April 11, 2020
Teodor Currentzis conducts Fauré’s Requiem and Mahler’s Adagio from Symphony No. 10. Baritone Konstantin Suchkov performs alongside the SWR Symphony orchestra.

Teodor Currentzis conducts Verdi’s Requiem with soprano Zarina Abaeva, tenor Rene Barbera and bass Evgeny Stavinsky.

Andris Nelsons conducts Bach Missa H-Moll with Christina Landshamer, Anke Vondung, Sebastian Kohlhepp, and Kresimir Strazanac.

Olga Peretyatko and Pavol Breslik headline Baden-Baden’s 2020 gala performance with Andris Nelsons’ conducting the Gewandhausorchester Leipzig.
Performance Date: July 5, 2020
Valery Gergiev conducts Verdi’s “Attila” in a concert performance with Ildar Abdrazakov in the title role, Tatiana Serjan, and Sergei Skorokhodov.
Performance Date: July 23, 2020
Valery Gergiev concludes the season bringing the Mariinsky Theatre for a concert performance of Verdi’s “Il Trovatore.” Tatiana Serjan and Ekaterina Semenchuk star in the performance.
