Sondra Radvanovsky, Annette Dasch, Carlos Álvarez Headline OperaVision’s August & September Streams

OperaVision has announced its streaming slate for the months of August and September.

First up will be a production of “Rusalka” from the Staatstheater Braunschweig starring Julie Adams, Kwonsoo Jeon, Jisang Ryu, Ekaterina Kudryavseva, and Edna Prochnik. Srba Dinić conducts.

Streaming Dates: August 18, 2021 – Nov. 13, 2021

Next up is Lviv National Opera’s “When the Fern Blooms” starring Nina Matviienko, Mykhailo Malafii, Olena Romaniv, Iryna Chikel, and Liliia Sobchyshyn. Volodymyr Sirenk conducts.

Streaming Dates: August 20, 2021 – Feb. 20, 2022

La Monnaie / De Munt’s “The Turn of the Screw” will follow. The work stars Ed Lyon, Sally Matthews, Henri de Beauffort, Katharina Bierweiler, Carole Wilson, Julian Hubbard, and Giselle Allen. Ben Glassberg conducts.

Streaming Dates: August 27, 2021 – Feb. 27, 2022

Kicking off September will be the Teatro Real de Madrid’s production of “Tosca” starring Sondra Radvanovsky, Joseph Calleja, and Carlos Álvarez. Nicola Luisotti conducts.

Streaming Dates: Sept. 3, 2021 – March 3, 2022

OperaVision will also stream the Lotte Lenya Competition Finals 2021. Contestants include Ganya Ben-gur Akselrod, Max Chernin, Ty Chiko, Monica Dewey, Taylor-Alexis DuPont, Charles Eaton, Nicole Fernandez-Coffaro, Kaden Forsberg, Katrina Galka, Rebekah Howell, Helen Zhibing Huang, Victoria Okafor, Andrew Polec, Katherine Riddle, and Kaileigh Riess.

Streaming Dates: Sept. 10, 2021 – March 10, 2022

The channel will also stream the Dutch National Opera’s “Der Zwerg.” The Zemlinsky work stars Lenneke Ruiten, Annette Dasch, Clay Hilley, and Derek Welton, among others. Lorenzo Viotti conducts.
