The Opéra de Paris is set to celebrate the Fête de la Musique on June 21, 2020 by streaming a concert program featuring Sondra Radvanovsky, Aleksandrs Antonenko, and Anita Rachvelshvili.

The performance, which dates from June 2016, features music from such operas as “Carmen,” “La Forza del Destino,” “Il Trovatore,” “Aida,” “Nabucco,” “Tosca,” “Norma,” and “La Traviata,” among others. Opéra de Paris’ music director Philippe Jordan conducts.

The concert will begin streaming on the company’s official website starting at 10 a.m. CET and will be available until June 28, 2020.

The Fête de la Musique is an annual music celebration that originated in France and has now extended worldwide to over 130 countries and 1,000 cities. The goal of the event is to provide thousands of free concerts in public areas throughout the day. Of course, with the outbreak of COVID-19, this year’s celebration is likely to be relatively muted.
