Sondra Radvanovsky was among one of the many winners of the Golden Medal from the patrons of the Gran Teatro del Liceu.

In an official press statement, the organization noted that Radvanovsky’s award was the result of a long and close relationship with the Gran Teatre del Liceu where the soprano has appeared in numerous productions over the years including “Andrea Chénier,” “Macbeth,” “The Tudor Queens,” and “Tosca.” Next season, she will appear in recital with the company.

“With Sondra Radvanovsky we recognize a powerful and expressive voice with the soul and extreme dedication. Dramatically and emotionally, she is synonymous with some of the greatest nights at the Liceu.“

The organization, headed by Salvador Alemany, also awarded the Sociedad del Gran Teatre del Liceu and the Círculo del Liceo to historian and music critic Roger Alier, the Puig family,” la Caixa” Foundation, and ballerina and choreographer Assumpció Aguadé.

These awards, given to artists and organizations who have risen to high standards within the arts community, will be presented formally on July 13, 2023 at the Gran Teatre del Liceu. The awards are given across a number of different categories including artistic, institutional, philanthropy, and dance.
