Soloman Howard Joins Askonas Holt

Soloman Howard has joined Askonas Holt for general management.

Howard will be managed at Askonas Holt by Joel Thomas, Dominic Domingo, and Hamish James.

Over the years Howard has performed with the Metropolitan Opera, LA Opera, Lyric Opera of Chicago, Washington National Opera, Teatro Real, Santa Fe Opera, San Francisco Opera, and Teatro Municipal de Santiago.

This season he is set to open the Royal Opera House’s new production of “Das Rheingold” and will also make his debut at Staatsoper Hamburg in “Rigoletto.” He will also return to The Metropolitan Opera in “Turandot” and “La Forza del Destino.” He finishes the season with a return to Santa Fe Opera.

Howard is also a committed advocate for social issues and was recognized in 2021 with the Washington Performing Arts’ Ambassador of the Arts Award for his achievement, service, and advocacy in the performing arts. He was also honored by the Anti-Defamation League in 2016 with their ‘Making a Difference Award’ for raising awareness of voting rights through performances as Martin Luther King Jr in Philip Glass’ “Appomattox” at the Kennedy Center.
