The Orchestra Now is set to kick off its New York City Season on Halloween day with a unique performance at Jazz at Lincoln Center.

The performance, which kicks off at 3 p.m. on Oct. 31, 2021, will be headlined by mezzo-soprano Solange Merdinian and conductor Carlos Miguel Prieto as they take on music by Messiaen, Debussy, Falla, and José Pablo Moncayo.

Merdinian is a 2009 graduate of Bard Conservatory’s Graduate Vocal Arts Program and is the co-founder and co-artistic director of New Docta and the New Docta International Festival in Argentina.

Next up will be performances at Carnegie Hall, including a concert headlined by mezzo-soprano Briana Hunter as she takes on Julia Perry’s “Stabat Mater.”

The company launched its 2021-22 season earlier this year with three concerts at Fisher Center at Bard.
