Sofia Opera and Ballet to Present Gala Performance Dedicated to Medics & Police Officers

The Sofia Opera and Ballet in Bulgaria is sending out a special concert dedicated to the medics and police officers who are helping to manage the COVID-19 crisis.

The online concert features Vladimir Stoyanov, Radostina Nikolaeva, Martin Iliev, Krasimir Dinev, Gabriela Georgieva, Atanas Mladenov, Boris Spasov, Kiril Manolov, Marianna Zvetkova, stetso Ivanov, Katerina Petrova, Nikolay Petrov, Biser Georgiev, Dimitar Stanchev, Boris Spasov, Daniel Damyanov, and Daniel Ostretsov.

The program features music from “La Traviata,” “Rigoletto,” “Atilla,” “Siegfried,” “Turandot,” “Eugene Onegin,” “Un Ballo in Maschera,” “Die Walküre,” and “Das Rheingold,” among others.

The concert will be broadcast online on Thursday, April 16 at 4 p.m. local time.

As a result, the broadcast of Wagner’s “Parsifal,” which is also scheduled for April 16, 2020 has been changed to 6:30 p.m. local time. “Parsifal” stars Kostadin Andreev, Radostina Nikolaeva, Angel Hristov, Atanas Mladenov, Biser Georgiev, Peter Buchkov, Hrisimir Damyanov, Stefan Vladimirov and others.
