Sofia National Opera to Offer Streaming Service

The Sofia National Opera has launched a streaming service entitled The Sofia Opera Pearls Streams.

It will offer a series of broadcasts of operatic pearls in the archive of the rich opera and ballet repertoire of the Sofia Opera.

The company already streamed the first Bulgarian historical opera “BORISLAV” by Maestro Georgi Atanasov, “Don Quichotte” by Jules Massenet with Orlin Anastasov, and “La Gioconda” by Amilcare Ponchielli with Ghena Dimitrova.

The week begins with “La Bayadere” starring Kimin Kim (premiere soloist at the Mariinsky Theatre), Marta Petkova, Venera Hristova, Rosen Kanev, Rumen Bonev, and Nikola Arnaudov. The production is directed by Pavel Stalinski and conductor Boris Spasov.

Streaming Date: March 27, 2020

Verdi’s “Il Trovatore” is set to star Ventseslav Anastasov, Radostina Nikolaeva, Svetozar Rangelov, Ivanka Ninova, and Daniel Damyanov with conductor Laurent Camplellone and directed by Filippo Tonon.

Streaming Date: March 28, 2020

Vladimir Stoyanov headlines a production of Verdi’s “Nabucco” with Roberto Scandiuzzi, Susanna Branchini, Daniel Damyanov, Shay Bloch, Kakhaber Shavidze, and Silvana Pravcheva. Mikhail Sinkevich conducts the production by Plamen Kartaloff.
