Social Media Beat (8/4-1) – A Look At The Scene From Salzburg And Pesaro
By Francisco SalazarIt’s festival season and many artists are performing in high profile concerts and productions while other are simply enjoying vacation time. This week on social media we’ll focus on Salzburg and Pesaro.
Salzburg
While Michele Mariotti is working hard on “I Due Foscari,” his wife Olga Peretyatko is enjoying vacation time after a fabulous season. She visited rehearsals of “Foscari” and even went to the second performance of “Aida.”
Plácido Domingo was spotted in the audience seeing the opening night of “Aida.” The tenor then shared a picture with soprano Anna Netrebko and Yusif Eyvazov before the evening celebration.
Brandon Jovanovich, who is also at the Salzburg Festival performing in “Lady Macbeth of Mtsenk,” shared a picture of the scene from outside the Salzburg theater before “Aida” ended.
On his off time from “I Due Foscari,” Joseph Calleja took visited the Mirabell Gardens. He has one more performance before heading off to Malta for a 20th-anniversary concert with Andrea Bocelli.
Pesaro
In Italy, Nino Machaidze gave a sneak peek to her fans of her costumes for “The Siege of Corinth.”
Meanwhile, Maxim Mironov showed off his dressing room. The tenor is slated to perform in the festival’s production of “La Pietra del Paragone.”
And while his colleagues were performing Juan Diego Flórez and his wife graced the red carpet to attend the opening night of the Rossini Opera Festival.
