Sir Willard White will headline a performance, “Close to You,” at Magdalen College Chapel in the U.K.

The showcase, set for Sept. 27, 2025, will feature the opera legend alongside the Celoniatus Ensemble as they take on music by Copland, Gershwin, Porter, Mackenzie, and Sinatra, among others.

The concert kicks off at 7 p.m. local time.

White has had a legendary career, first appearing with New York City Opera in 1974 before making his London debut at the English National Opera two years later. Since then, he has performed at the Metropolitan Opera, Royal Opera House, Opéra National de Paris, San Francisco Opera, and Los Angeles Opera, among others.

The concert is organised by Jersey charity Music in Action, and all proceeds of the concert will go to help Music in Action’s programme of providing music to disadvantaged children in schools and with music bursaries.
