Sir Simon Keenlyside, Julia Kleiter, Rosa Feola & Luca Micheletti Lead ‘Le Nozze di Figaro’ At Teatro Alla Scala

The Teatro alla Scala has announced the upcoming run of Mozart‘s operatic masterpiece “Le Nozze di Figaro.”

Sir Simon Keenlyside leads the star-studded cast in the role of Count Almaviva, and is joined onstage by Julia Kleiter as Countess Almaviva, Rosa Feola as Susanna, and Luca Micheletti in the title role. The cast also includes Svetlina Stoyanova as Cherubino, Anna-Doris Capitelli in the role of Marcellina, Andrea Concetti as Bartolo, Matteo Falcier as Don Basilio, Paolo Nevi as Don Curzio, Caterina Sala as Barbarina, and Carlo Cigni as Antonio.

The Teatro alla Scala reopened to live audiences starting on April 26. The opera house was previously forced to postpone the run of “L’Italiana in Algeri” due to a case of COVID-19 amongst the production team.

The run of “Le Nozze di Figaro” begins on June 26, and will end on July 1, 2021.
