Singapore Lyric Opera to Feature Adult Chorus in Concert

Singapore Lyric Opera is set to present “Singapore Lyric Opera Adult Chorus in Concert” on August 10, 2024 at the Esplanade Recital Studio.

The two performances, one starting at 4 p.m. and the other at 8 p.m., will feature solo and ensemble numbers from operatic masterpieces by Mozart, Verdi, Puccini, and more. Among the highlights will be the chorus of Cigarette Girls from Bizet’s “Carmen” and the famed “Queen of the Night” aria from “The Magic Flute.”

The performance will be conducted by Chorus Master Terrence Toh. Pianist Dale Huang will perform alongside the ensemble.

Comprising the chorus are sopranos Carin Chan, Constance Seah-Wunady, Heart Denielle Silverio Lopez, Juliane Kronhardt, Karen Aw, Lowell Chen Ying Jie, Lydia Li, Patricia Teng, Priscilla Lian, Sindy keng, Zhou Manq, and Zoey Li; altos Ally Tan, Denise Liu, Fion Toh, Haruna Akizawa, Hu Yanjun, Lim Ming Jie, Martha Fernandez, and Paula Oliva-Kevin; basses Hugo Van Bever, Jireh Koh, Li Yizhe, Marcus Chan, Phang Yong Xin, William Chua, and Xiao Chunyuan; and tenors Chan Sheng Feng, Clement Perdana, Dennis Lin, Ernest Koh, Jing Tao, Mik Rossi, Raj Masillamoni, and Yan Jin.
