The Festival Lirico dei Teatri di Pietra has announced its summer 2020 slate.

The Italian festival will take place in Taorima, Siracusa, and Tindari. Here is a breakdown of the performances.

Taormina

The slate will kick off with a production of “Cavalleria Rusticana.” The opera will star Elena Lo Forte as Santuzza with Angelo Villari appearing as Turiddu. Alberto Mastromarino, Maria Motta, and Leonora Sofia will round out the cast, which will be directed by Salvo Dolce and conducted by Lorenzo Tazzieri.

The Giuseppe Di Stefano International Award will be presented.

The festival will present a Puccini and Verdi opera gala.

There will be a gala dedicated to “Opera Made in Sicily” with such artists as Simone Alaimo, Pietro Ballo, Jessica Nuccio, and Enea Scala.

Siracusa

Mario Venuti will lead a performance of Italian Love Songs.

Angelo Villari, Dave Monaco, and Antonino Interisano will lead “Nessun Dorma… Three Tenors in Concert.

Mario Venuti will lead a performance of Italian Love Songs.

The festival will host a Puccini Opera Gala.
