Simon Keenlyside to Join The Cleveland Orchestra’s 2020 Spring Tour

Simon Keenlyside is set to appear on The Cleveland Orchestra’s tour through Vienna, Paris, Linz, and Abu Dhabi during the spring of 2020.

Per a press release, the famed baritone will sing a selection of arias with the famed orchestra. His concert is scheduled for March 31, 2020 at the Emirates Palace Auditorium in Abu Dhabi, UAE. The concert will also feature Tchaikovsky’s Symphony No.l 5 in E minor, Op. 64.

In addition to the tour, Keenlyside’s 2019-20 season will feature productions of “La Traviata,” “Falstaff,” “Parsifal,” and “Rigoletto” in such cities as Munich, Paris, London, Berlin, and Vienna.

This is the 20th international tour for the orchestra under music director Franz Welser-Möst and will also feature violinist Julia Fisher and cellist Yo-Yo Ma in several concerts. Finally, the orchestra will partner with the American Ballet Theatre for a number of shows.
